Why did you decide to move from an on-premise server to the cloud?
Our previous setup relied on an on-premise server that needed to be regularly backed up, maintained and continually invested in.
With Dentally, everything is in the cloud. There is no longer a need to maintain an on-site server, helping us reduce our IT requirements and associated costs while keeping the practice secure.
How did you find the transition to Dentally?
We had access to training before going live, so we could log in and familiarise ourselves with Dentally in advance. The step-by-step videos and questions at the end made the training easy to follow.
The Dentally support team were also very helpful. We contacted them regularly during the transition, and they were there to assist us whenever we needed support.
What difference has Dentally made to your day-to-day work?
Being able to log in from anywhere has made a big difference. Ana can assign nurses to providers from home, while the clinical team can finish their notes without needing to stay in the practice at the end of the day.
Dentally also offers different permission levels, allowing each team member to access the information and functionality appropriate to their role.
What are some of your favourite Dentally features?
Being able to see a patient’s photo before going to meet them at reception helps make the experience feel more personal.
The team already knows who they are looking for when they walk to the front of the practice, helping them offer a warmer and more individual welcome.
How has Dentally supported your clinical workflows?
Clinical AI note-taking has been a game changer. The clinician can talk through the relevant information, and the AI helps organise it into structured clinical notes.
This creates a more efficient workflow and helps reduce the time clinicians spend typing up their notes.
